Biofeedback is a mind-body technique that enables you to learn how to change your physiological response for the purposes of improving health and performance. Electrical sensors help you measure and receive information (feedback) about your body (bio). By measuring physiological response such as muscle activity,skin temperature, and sweat gland activity, these sensors teach you how to make subtle changes in your body to reduce pain, relax muscles and decrease stress. Research shows that when the body is under stress for any reason, pain symptoms are increased. Biofeedback enhances the learning response to empower you to control your symptoms.
